Easy Overnight Oats


1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 cup low fat milk*
1/2 cup fresh fruit*
Few dashes of cinnamon*
2 Tbsp. nuts*
1 Tbsp. dried fruit, seeds, shredded coconut, or dark chocolate*


Combine all ingredients, pour into mason jar or bowl and refrigerate, covered, overnight. A balanced breakfast will be ready to enjoy in the morning! Makes 1 serving.

* There are countless ways to make this your own! Sub in any low-fat milk of choice and change up your flavors with a variety of fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, dried fruits and spices.

If looking for an extra hint of sweetness, try a splash of honey, agave, or maple syrup.

Looking for extra protein? You may also add fat-free Greek yogurt in a one-to-one ratio to oats and milk (1/2 cup). You can also try adding in protein powder or nut butter.

My personal favorite: raspberries, almonds, dark chocolate chips and plenty of cinnamon!
