These Pan Seared Tofu Steaks are meaty and satisfying with a crispy exterior and moist interior and topped with a beautiful Moroccan Chermoula Sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 packages extra firm tofu , drained (see instructions below)
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
Instructions
- To drain tofu, watch my video How to Drain Tofu in 3 Easy Steps
- Once drained, slice each tofu brick along the long end into 3 "steaks" so you will have 6 total
- Heat oil in cast iron pan or skillet over medium heat. Sear tofu 2-4 minutes per side or until lightly browned.
- Serve atop a bed of greens drizzled with this delicious Moroccan Chermoula Sauce. Pair with Spiced Cauliflower and a baked sweet potato.
Notes
Tip: for sweet potato, wash, poke holes with a fork and microwave for 3 minutes per side or until soft in lieu of baking in the oven. Much faster yet retains all the nutrition!
